A battle in a blizzard, seen from straight above. Two armies meet across the middle of a snowfield: a rank of dark-hulled tanks with red-marked turrets and a long line of red-marked infantry along the top, a line of blue-marked infantry and a rank of olive tanks along the bottom. An orange starburst explosion goes off at the left end of the contact line, tan tracer rounds hang in the air in the gap between the two lines, red crossed target reticles sit over a dozen soldiers, and small fires burn inside several craters. Green health bars float over the units that have been hit, brown craters and scorch marks are scattered across the snow, blue ore crystals catch the light in both right-hand corners, and a lone spiked tower stands on a square plinth at the upper right. Snow blows diagonally across the whole frame.
Glacier Crucible. Two hundred units, one moment.

The loop

A base, an army, and the ground in between.

Build, mine and fight at the same time.

A base on a snowfield with its army above it: grey-steel buildings laid out in rows — one under a radar dome, one with two chimney stacks, a lattice mast, a low blockhouse and four squat dark gun emplacements — each throwing a long shadow. A dozen olive-marked tanks stand between the base and a patch of blue crystal ore at the centre of the frame, health bars over them. Something is burning off the top-left corner, trailing smoke.

BuildPower, refinery, barracks, war factory, research bay. You start with an HQ. Everything after that is your call.

HarvestMine ore to fund your army. The richest seams are always somewhere you would rather not be.

PushEverything you have not scouted is dark. Send something cheap to go and look, or send everything and find out.

Built for touch

Tap. Drag. Two fingers to look around.

iPhone and iPad. The same game on both.

The same game in an iPad’s squarer shape. Ten grey-steel buildings stand in two rows on a snowfield under a pale ice wall, each throwing a long shadow; three olive harvesters drive up from a patch of blue ore at the bottom edge; two soldiers and a red alert ring sit off to the left; and the sidebar down the right reads $4740 over the STRUCT tab with Power Plant $800, Refinery $2000, Barracks $600, War Factory $1500 and Research Bay $1500 all affordable, and a small queue badge on each of the TROOP and TANKS tabs.
Coldfront at an iPhone’s screen size, landscape. Olive-marked tanks and infantry push up the left of the screen past a long line of craters with a burst of fire at its head; blue crystal ore glitters at the top; the corner minimap sits bottom-left with the visible-area box drawn on it; five control-group slots run along the bottom edge; and the right-hand sidebar reads $467 over the TANKS tab, offering Mauler $600, Skywarden $850, Harvester $800 and Titan, with STRUCT, TROOP, TANKS and DEF along the top.

TapTap a unit to select it, tap the ground to send it.

DragSweep a box to take the whole squad.

PinchPinch out to see what is coming. Everything you need stays under your thumb.

Six biomes

The same war on six kinds of ground.

Snow, desert, temperate, urban, wetland and volcanic. Same army, very different ground: lava burns what crosses it, mud slows everything down.

A base seen from above on deep snow: a white field with blowing snow streaking across it and bare dead shrubs poking through. One building is burning with an orange health bar over it, green +400 markers float where a truck has just unloaded, and two tanks and a soldier stand at the lower right.
Snow
The same base seen from above on open desert: pale gold sand with dry scrub and a faint dune line running across it. Blue ore crystals and a truck sit at the upper left with a column of green-marked infantry beside them, and green +400 markers float over the base.
Desert
The same base seen from above on green grassland: bright grass with dark bushes and a rust-brown dirt track cutting diagonally across the frame. One building is still inside its yellow construction scaffold and two more foundations are pegged out on the ground.
Temperate
The same base seen from above on volcanic rock: near-black scorched ground shot through with glowing orange cracks, with embers dotted across it. Gold ore crystals and a truck sit at the upper left.

Multiplayer

Up to eight commanders.

Inviting a friend is as easy as sending a text. Play in teams, and let AI fill any empty seat.

The online lobby: a room code reading K7QM2 with COPY and SHARE beside it, a status line reading “Room ready — share the code”, and a roster headed “PLAYERS 8/8 · SCROLL FOR MORE” with AI difficulty and CO-OP VS AI controls beside it. The host’s own row is marked HOST and carries a faction and a team button; every other row adds a REPORT button. The bottom bar reads LEAVE, “8 players ready to deploy”, READY and START MATCH.
Eight commanders, one room code.

In the box

A campaign, an editor, and every match on tape.

Nothing here is a roadmap: every feature on this page ships today.

Campaign

Five missions: a boot camp, then annihilate, defend, capture and hold, and assault. Each one unlocks the next.

Map editor

Paint the terrain, place the spawns, and build the map however you want. Play it the moment it is done.

Replays

Every match is kept, start to finish — except one you resume from a save. Rewind to the moment it turned, at any speed you like; campaign missions are kept but cannot be played back.

The in-game map editor: a toolbar reading PAN, North Reach, GRID 80, BIOME Desert, PLAYERS 2-4, NEW over a second row of LOAD, UNDO, MIRROR, VALIDATE, SAVE and EXIT; a terrain palette down the left scrolled to show Clear, Dirt, Ore, Gold, Water, Ridge, Rock and Mud; a desert map on the canvas with four numbered spawn markers, ringed derrick and outpost markers, a gold patch at the centre and scattered blue ore; and a checklist card down the right headed “READY TO PLAY” with eight lines ticked green — including “Equal starting ore for everyone: P1: 8, P2: 8, P3: 8, P4: 8” and “Derricks & outposts on open ground” — ending “All set — tap SAVE to add it to PLAY.”
